We are currently being submerged by a tidal wave of Christmas products – so you must excuse me if I do not pass comment on the greater happenings in the world for a day or two…
This is partly because the first judging for the 2012 FreeFromFood Awards happens next week – for the Christmas category as we do not think that we would be able to get a number of the Christmas products in February for the main judging sessions. This year’s entries include the anticipated puds, mince pies and cakes, plus some chutneys and some patés but not, sadly, any dairy-free advent calendars! I suspect that the makers of advent calendars are far too busy making them to have time to enter them for an award!
It is also because, now that our FreeFromChristmas site is live, we are getting an endless stream of emails asking us to add yet more delicious freefrom edible Christmas goodies to our lists – so we are! Next up is Groovy Foods‘ Panetonne which I am really looking forward to trying as I am seriously addicted to panettone and so far I have not managed to find a good gluten-free one.
The Christmas pudding, by the way, is Lucinda Bruce Gardyne (of Genius Foods)’ recipe – it appears after the details of their delicious gluten-free mince pies.
Back to more serious matters anon…

What about some sugar free goodies for those of us – and we are many – who have a problem with sugar?

Ooops – missed out there…… Come on, sugar-free manufacturers! Tell us about your products!
