It is only – and all of – four months since David Fleming, dear friend and pioneering environmentalist, died, totally unexpectedly, while on a visit to old friends in Amsterdam – see my post on December 4th. It seems both a lifetime ago and only yesterday.
There was a memorial service for him at the beginning of February at Hampstead Parish Church and so vividly did the addresses by his niece, Lucy, and old friends, Biff Vernon and Jonathan Porritt evoke David in all his brilliance and delightful eccentricities that I put together a small booklet of most of the service so that his friends should not forget. If you would like one, please let me know and I will happily mail you one.
Meanwhile, for anyone who has not read them, Shaun Chamberlin has collected together a number of tributes, and pictures, from both David’s friends and associates. Some of these are quite recent so those of you who looked soon after David’s death may not have seen them. You will find them on Shaun’s blog.

Thanks Michelle, I couldn’t get to the service so would love to see the booklet you compiled. Many thanks
