The web has been awash for the last year in disaster movie scenarios of what could happen if the badly damaged reactors at Fukushima were hit by another earthquake or just, as they quite possibly could, collapsed. A report in late March which found that the cooling water levels in the damaged reactors were far lower than had been thought certainly has not calmed fears, nor have revelations about how poorly the Japanese government handled the original crisis. See an article in the Huffington Post among many others.
In the UK we are fortunate in that we are about as far as we could be from Japan but the West coast of America is in much more direct line of fire and may well suffer some very specific fall out. See this blog, for example – Dangerous Radioactive Wave to hit entire US food supply by next year.

So the only reason for this post was to flag up a Natural News piece offering suggestions (and lots of links for more) on how, naturally, to protect yourself against radiation damage, not only from Fukushima but from the radioactive detritus left over from the recent wars in the Middle East and the Balkans. And of course, even though they are unlikely to be hit by an earthquake or a tsunami, one of our own remaining, aging nuclear reactors could fail, bringing the problem very much closer to home…
