More on Electrosmog and Oxygen

24/08/2011 //  by Michelle Berridale Johnson//  Leave a Comment

The ‘conversation’ mentioned in my last blog about electrosmog has continued with much discussion about documentaries, gaining the support of the unions on the basis that mobile phone usage has now been classed as a Group 2B carcinogen by the IARC and WHO (see an interesting note here on the FM site from www.wififinschools.org.uk) and on gaining some ‘celebrity’ support for the cause.

All of this spurred me to sort out the many emails that arrive on a weekly basis pointing me to new electromagnetic radiation research/articles so, for those who are interested, there are a clutch of new pieces linked from the ‘new articles’ page on FoodsMatter.

Amongst the emails there was one from an ES-aware doctor in the Netherlands reminding us of the plight of those who suffer from serious electrosensitivity. In all of the planning for greater awareness and concern over future ES-related ill health, one can forget that, for those who are badly affected, their lives are ruined.

‘At the moment I am advising a young woman who has already signed a paper for euthanasia. Even in a shielded room, within a canopy, she instantly experiences bad headaches and other electro-sensitivity symptoms when the electricity is turned on.

We should understand that the number of people who suffer because of electrosmog is much larger that we realise. Many of them do not make the link between their health complaints and electrosmog, mostly because their physicians do not know, or do not want to know about electro-sensitivity.

Secondly, most severe electrosensitives live on their own, sometimes abandoned by their family and friends. They do not use the internet nor are they capable of visiting anyone outside their home.’

I am not a good proseletizer. I am diffident about making too much of my own experience as I am only too aware that everyone is entirely different and what worked for me may be no good at all for anyone else. However… I do feel that I should maybe try rather harder than I have to do to get the word out about the hydrogen peroxide/oxygen treatment which I feel has made a very significant difference to my own sensitivity.

I was never, thank God, anywhere near as bad as the poor girl described above because I was fortunate enough to recognise, early on,  the condition for what it was and therefore to make dramatic changes to my living space in order to shield myself from both the local phone masts and wifi. However, at my most sensitive, my life was severely restricted and I did feel fairly unwell for a lot of the time. However, after fifteen months of dosing myself daily with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in distilled water, I can now lead an almost normal life. The sensitivity has not gone away (I can still feel pretty horrible if I spend much time close to a phone mast, bluetooth-enabled computer or car phone, wifi hub, DECT phone or compact fluorescent bulb) but it is totally manageable. Maybe, if I continue the treatment (which I most certainly shall) it will improve further – who knows. But if it did that much for me, maybe it might also work for other sufferers?

If you would like to know more specifically about the oxygen treatment, click here. If you want to read the whole article which gives the background on electrosensitivity before moving on to the oxygen, click here.

And if you know anyone who you think might suffer from electrosensitivity, please pass on the links. Or, if they are unable to use a computer, please give me their details and we will send them a printed copy of the information.

A food fad won’t kill you – an allergy will

There has been a predictable outcry in the allergy world this week’s in response to Rachel Johnson’s piece in Thursday’s Evening Standard on ‘dietary requirements’ and food fads. Being charitable, I am assuming that she has never suffered from or lived with someone with a food allergy. However, I do have some sympathy with her …

Bioplastics – a solution or part of the problem?

Everyday Plastic is a social enterprise group using accessible learning and publicity campaigns to reduce the amount of plastics used daily in our society. It was founded by its current director Daniel Webb who, having moved to Margate in Kent in 2016, was horrified to discover that there were no plastic recycling options on offer.  …

Do not extradite Julian Assange to the US

Julian Assange is being sought by the current US administration for publishing US government documents which exposed war crimes and human rights abuses. The politically motivated charges represent an unprecedented attack on press freedom and the public’s right to know – seeking to criminalise basic journalistic activity. Assange is facing a 175-year sentence for publishing …

What to believe – applying critical thought

For the average citizen evaluating the claims made for cure all – or even improve all – health products and procedures has always been difficult. Not only is it an area in which we have minimal expertise but most of us have a vested interest in finding a miracle intervention that will solve our health …

Could wireless monitoring devices be killing racehorses?

Regular readers may remember that back in August last year I alerted you to a posting on Arthur Firstenberg’s Cellphone Task Force site about phone masts and bird flu. Could there be a connection between the fact that the two wildlife sites in Holland and Northern France which had suffered catastrophic bird flu deaths were …
